His Record is Clear, Now the Question is, What's Next?

Reducing Traffic Congestion:

  • More roundabouts at Balch and Gooch (out for bid 16 July and potential award by 11 Aug) with sidewalk as part of it to connect to Gooch

  • Intersection expansion and pedestrians crossing with sidewalk connectivity at Gooch and Wall Triana

  • Roundabout design and construction at southern Brownsferry Balch intersection near Greenway and Dog Park

  • Work with state and federal delegation/leaders, ensuring Madison receives equitable road funding

Supporting Schools with City Funding:

  • Make permanent and dedicate the current half-cent sales tax to Madison City Schools

  • Continue to work across the state with community leaders and our state leaders reforming at current online sales tax recouping approximately $6M-$8M (equates to ~ 1 lane of road expansion for 1 mile)

Quality of life:

  • Increased sidewalk projects like this to connect Gooch from County Line to Hughes, providing safer connections to schools;

  • Continued expansion of Bradford Creek Greenway north to Gillespie and Brownsferry, connecting other parts of the city, and further Mill Creek Greenway north,

  • More sidewalks down Wall Triana and along Hughes; as well as closing the gap on Gillespie, connecting it from County Line to Hughes

  • Heightened rate of revitalization of Palmer park along master plan, making it second to none and one our citizens can be proud of

  • Completion of neighborhood park revitalization

Economic development:

  • Heavy recruitment of commercial ventures to restore Highway 72 and Madison Blvd corridors

  • Continued investment in Town Madison, leveraging $383k to $4M return on investment over the last 5 years (Our investment in Toyota is working)
